|Programmable Logic Made Simple with the MACH64!|
|Écrit par ElectronDoc|
I am an analog engineer, but very interested in CPLDs (complex programmable logic devices), FPGAs and similar technology to design my own chips. I have been buying kits for a year or two now, but they usually have no documentation and are nearly useless. I was searching and found a new programmable logic kit called the MACH64 on the XGamestation site (they make gaming hardware), bought it, just got it yesterday and already I am hooked.
This is the first kit I have ever bought that shows a newbie like me how to use the very cool chips. Anyone interested in CPLDs, but don't know where to start, check out the MACH64. The kit starts off with blinking an LED and ends with generating NTSC and VGA video. There is even a little PONG game developed on the CPLD. It's an amazing product, and very accessible. Finally, someone knows how to write a manual with cool experiments! A sample of the manual with the table of contents can be found here:
