|Canadian cell phone customer gets a 85,000$ bill, no mistakes made says the company|
A Canadian customer realized that his phone bill had reached 65,000$. He then decides to call the cell phone company to complain just to be told that his bill had now reached 85,000$ because of the "data transfers" the customer had made while using his cell phone as a modem.
Last time that I checked, that company had a basic data plan with a maximum of 5 MB/month transfers, any extra charged at 5$/MB, so that is 5000$/GB. So the customer must have transferred around 16,6 GB with his cell connection, Not even enough to fill a modern laptop drive! View full article here.
